LOVING THE NATURAL WORLD

I was most fortunate to experience part of the Kalahari Desert late 2015 when I visited the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. It is situated on the borders of South Africa, South West Africa and Botswana. The wildlife was breathtaking and varied - amazing sightings of Big Cats, Raptors, Springbok, Gemsbok, Jackals and Giraffe to name but a few.

We travelled from Cape Town on a very well organized trip. Having a guide who is extremely knowledgeable made the trip a truly wonderful experience.

We were based in various enclosed camps, enjoyed a BBQ (braai) most evenings and relaxed with our drinks around the fire at sunset - most welcome after long days of sightseeing.

One night in bed, after the lights were out, we heard the awesome sound of two lions roaring at each other - it sent shivers down my spine.

The temperatures were extreme, reaching 40 degrees most days, but what one would expect in Africa after all.

It is a pleasure to share some of my images - I hope you enjoy them.

I look forward to a return visit.
